Related previous project information: the SUPERSMART project
The idea of using paper as a basis for printed electronics was also investigated in the predecessor project SUPERSMART, where the approach was to rely on the most sustainable resources possible.

At Mécaplastronic 2024 in Lyon, the CircEl-Paper team had organized a workshop about the topic:
How can circular materials meet the technical requirements of printed circuit boards?
In its workshop event at MécaPlasTronic 2024 in Lyon, the CircEl-Paper project team presented first results on new paper and ink formulations, on paper-based PCB manufacture and on the adaptation of paper recycling processing to recover PCB materials. In addition, well-known international experts covered a range of further aspects on the road to sustainable electronics.

This deliverable explains the different impacts (economic, environmental, social, technological benefits and knowledge production) at short term (during the project and up to 3 years after the end) and long term (>3 year after the end of project) due to the project. This first version is delivered on M12 and will be updated in M24 and a final version at the end of the project.
